The Global Risk Solutions (GRS) Data & Analytics team is looking for a Data Leader to build Data Marketplace for GRS by defining policy which can be deployed as standards to assure asset quality in the data marketplace.

Role Overview

The Data Marketplace Governance Lead ((This is an individual contributor role) owns and evolves the governance standards that determine what is fit to publish on the GRS Data Marketplace and how it is maintained over time. This role defines asset eligibility, certification tiers, and ownership models; partners with domain teams understand recurring data issues affecting marketplace usage; and resolves governance exceptions escalated from day-to-day operations. The Governance Lead works closely with the Product Lead and Security teams to keep governance standards, access requirements, and marketplace strategy aligned as the platform scales. You may be assigned additional responsibilities to ensure cross disciplinary governance activities in Data Foundations and Modernization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve marketplace governance standards, including asset eligibility, certification tiers, and ownership models
  • Partner with domain teams (e.g., underwriting) to understand governance needs and recurring data issues impacting marketplace usage
  • Review and update marketplace governance documentation, including standards, procedures, and guidelines
  • Periodically review assets for accuracy and relevance and de-list assets that are no longer in use or out of compliance
  • Review and resolve governance exceptions escalated from day-to-day operations that cannot be addressed within individual domains
  • Define and maintain asset-level access requirements and eligibility criteria in partnership with security
  • Partner with the Product Lead to inform strategy, roadmap updates, and success metrics from a governance perspective

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information systems, Business,  or a related field
  • 15+ years experience in Governance function for Data, product, platform, services etc.
  • 10+ years managing data as an asset and defining and operationalizing data standards, certification models, and ownership frameworks
  • Understanding of data contracts, metadata for various data assets and defining
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve governance exceptions and balance consistency with speed in federated environments
  • Working knowledge of data access controls, analytics workflows, and platform governance to support marketplace decisions
  • Comfortable partnering with domain teams, security, and business stakeholders to translate governance policy into practical standards
