As the Head of Technology Procurement, you will shape and advance Liberty Mutual's enterprise technology category strategy — a high-impact leadership role with the scope and visibility to drive meaningful change across the organization.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and procurement excellence. You will partner with senior executives and technology leaders, lead a team of category managers and analysts, and deliver measurable results through cost optimization, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and innovation.

What You'll Bring:
Technology Procurement Expertise
You have significant experience developing and executing category strategies across technology spend including software, cloud, infrastructure, hardware, telecom, IT services, cybersecurity, data, digital platforms, and professional services. You bring deep knowledge of technology supply markets, supplier ecosystems, commercial models, pricing structures, licensing constructs, and emerging technology trends.
Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Influence
You are a confident and credible spokesperson for Procurement, with a proven ability to partner with senior technology leaders, business executives, finance, legal, and risk stakeholders. You know how to align procurement strategies with enterprise technology roadmaps and transformation priorities, and you can influence, challenge, and defend recommendations at the highest levels.
AI-First Mindset
You lead with an AI-first orientation and have hands-on experience applying AI to strengthen category strategies — from spend analysis and market intelligence to supplier evaluation and negotiation preparation. You are passionate about championing adoption, upskilling teams, and embedding AI-enabled ways of working across category management and sourcing execution.
Sourcing & Negotiation Excellence
You have a track record of leading complex supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives, including enterprise agreements, renewals, supplier consolidation, commercial optimization, and risk mitigation across high-value technology spend.
People Leadership
You are an inspiring leader who builds, coaches, and empowers high-performing teams. You instill a culture of accountability, ownership, and sound decision-making while creating an environment where people can do their best work.
Analytical & Commercial Acumen
You bring very strong analytical, financial, and commercial skills — including experience evaluating total cost of ownership, demand management opportunities, supplier performance, and overall business value.

You communicate with clarity, confidence, and conviction. You are a skilled presenter and influencer who can engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
