Description

Oversees the development and delivery of the following: Carrier management (a.k.a. `Choice`) in service to distribution channel strategies; and operational services needed to enable distribution channels to operate in agency (e.g., Comparion) or agency like (e.g., DRC) models.


Responsibilities

Leads an organization comprised of the following capabilities needed to deliver the above mandate to distribution channels, like Comparion and the DRC, who utilize Carrier management as a significant part of their strategies: Technology and Business Enablement; Analytics and Reporting; Wholesaling and Training; Carrier Management; Compliance; Knowledge Management; Agent Recognition Programs; Project and Program Initiatives a.k.a. Strategic Projects; Chief of Staff.

Partners with Distribution channel leaders to ensure the right mix of investment in the above capabilities is made to enable the channel priorities, strategy, and goals. Acts as peer and partners with the Distribution channel leaders it supports (e.g., Comparion and DRC), ensuring the alignment of capabilities to the distribution channels` needs.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates expert understanding and shared context of distribution channels to prove credibility that recommendations are accurate and inclusive of relevant considerations
  • Helps the distribution channels it supports understand trends to navigate shift consumer, agency, or market conditions
  • Drives cross-channel prioritization of capabilities and initiatives
  • Proven ability to effectively influence at all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to define, shape drive projects/initiatives to completion while effectively collaborating with others
  • Must have demonstrable strategic thinking, analytical, large scale project management and problem solving capabilities
  • Must have exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Track record in leading complex process and data analysis to make recommendations and drive improvements in outcomes
  • Strong collaborator with capabilities to create alignment across all levels and with all key stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of operations, processes and tools; understanding of change management, knowledge management and project management concepts
  • Minimum of 15 or more years of related work experience
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills are required
  • Expert knowledge of data sources, tools, and business processes, including a sophisticated understanding of cross functional operations and business drivers
  • Knowledge of insurance principles, underwriting and ratemaking concepts and the various functions of an insurance organization, including Finance, Underwriting, Sales and Claims
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
