Description

We are seeking an experienced Branch Executive for our Northeast Territory - Greater NYC Area.

 

As a Branch Executive, you'll be at the forefront of representing the Global Risk Solutions (GRS) Commercial Insurance brand, spanning all business segments — Major Accounts, Middle Market, and Specialty (including Ironshore US). In this high-visibility role, you'll build and nurture key retail broker relationships across the Northeast market while collaborating with GRS segment leaders to drive strategic alignment, deepen broker partnerships, and create a seamless, best-in-class experience for our broker network.

 

To be considered for this role, candidates must reside within the specified geographic location. This position requires regular in-person visits with local brokers and agents in the greater NYC area, so remote hires outside the designated territory cannot be accommodated.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Clearly understand both the underwriting appetite and business strategy of all facets of GRS and articulate and support in the marketplace.
  • Foster mutually beneficial relationships with brokers in your assigned region and drive profitable growth.
  • Lead all aspects of development for broker facing/client facing marketing communication plans, including communications and events.
  • Structure and lead cross sell initiatives that align with regional growth plans and market opportunities.
  • Prospect and develop new broker relationships identifying new areas of opportunity.
  • Align with overall GRS strategy, work with peers, business and Regional Distribution Executive to develop strategies that support GWP, new business, submission and retention targets.
  • Drive collaboration internally, encouraging an environment focused on shared GRS success.
  • Maintain close relations with business leaders and underwriting org, keeping communication channels clear to ensure alignment and keep executive management informed of areas of concern and/or opportunity.

Qualifications

  • 10+ Years of relevant Insurance Industry experience
  • Underwriting experience
  • Strong relationships with senior leadership at key brokerages
  • Strong understanding of product offerings and relationships with profit center leadership Business development/sales skills
  • Leadership skills – ability to influence without authority Interpersonal/social skills – able to foster trusted relationships
  • People management skills – able to nurture professional growth; fosters team effectiveness
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Travel required - 10-15%

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
