Description

At Liberty, our Personal Lines Property & Specialty Product team partners across the company to design and launch home and specialty insurance solutions — from homeowners (property) and condos to renters and other niche lines (specialty)— that meet evolving customer and agent needs. We focus on preparing and executing program rollouts, delivering on our growth roadmap, and modernizing pricing and the technology that supports the work we do. Organized into five functions—State Management, Development, Delivery, Underwriting Effectiveness, and Specialty—we collaborate closely to meet our goals and help customers feel secure today and confident about tomorrow.

 

 

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Product Research to join the Product and Specialty Contract team. The Contract team’s role is to fulfill Liberty Mutual’s promise through the development of contract language and customer notices. You will be responsible for owning, maintaining, and assessing compliance forms and contracts.

In this role you will:

  • Manage multiple property and specialty product form and contract initiatives.  Analyze information from various resources to develop recommendations. Independently drive revisions with a focus on quality and customer centricity. Own communication of changes to impacted stakeholders.
  • Research and answer inquiries related to coverages, forms, and contracts from the organization and provide recommendations.
  • Monitor bureau and state activity, evaluating impacts to existing products. Collaborate with the Product Filings team on achieving approval of filings from regulatory authorities.
  • Take a proactive role in identifying and leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Promote cross-departmental collaboration in order to meet business goals.
  • Innovate and collaborate with other teams to design and develop language for new products and product updates.     

 

At the end of your first year a successful candidate will complete all onboarding activities, demonstrate understanding of the forms development process, and independently own and complete projects meeting all target metrics.

This role requires:

  • Prior experience with interpreting and applying insurance policy contracts.
  • Project Management experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills; effective team building skills.
  • Prior experience in Claims, Underwriting, and/or Compliance in Insurance or Financial Services industry (at least 3-5 years).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • A Juris Doctor degree or paralegal experience is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Adobe, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to story board and present business problems, business cases, and solutions. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, typically 4 years.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
  • Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
