Conducts vertical and prospect assessments, building and managing a robust pipeline of potential partners, engaging key stakeholders across the business unit to ensure strategic alignment, prioritization of key prospects to source new distribution partnerships. Negotiates contract terms and deal economics to achieve highest ROE and effectively transitioning new partners into partnership segments for on-going client management. Effectively engages, assesses, and negotiates new agency relationships and determines fit within the Strategic Partnerships portfolio. Interacts with senior leadership of national firms who are well versed and licensed in the P&C insurance industry in the U.S.
Serves in a business development role within the Strategic Partnerships Group to evaluate new partnership opportunities that create strategic value and/or will drive highly scalable distribution partnerships aligned to USRM`s strategic and financial goals. Demonstrates deep understanding of competitors market trends thereby enabling effective negotiations with a variety of potential partners. Prepares and presents executive presentations for internal stakeholders to ensure alignment around strategic fit and business terms for potential new partners. Employs assertive sales techniques to negotiate favorable contact terms, conditions and compensation to win new partnerships. Aligns all necessary Liberty Mutual resources to enable successful execution and onboarding of new partnerships.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
