Description

Candidates who live within 50 miles of Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Indianapolis, IN; Columbus, OH; or Plano, TX will follow a hybrid schedule, coming into the office two days per week. Otherwise, this role is remote. Boston/East Coast preferred. This role will require up to 40% travel.

 

Join a high-performing Recognition Events team that delivers some of the organization’s most visible and impactful experiences. As an Associate Event Manager, you’ll play a critical role supporting large-scale programs while leading smaller events end-to-end, partnering with senior stakeholders, managing detailed logistics, and contributing to high-quality on-site execution. This role is ideal for a candidate ready to deepen their expertise, take on greater ownership, and grow within a team known for excellence.

 

Summary

 

Supports the execution of domestic and international recognition and leadership events. Owns defined areas of responsibility and independently plans smaller programs, partnering across teams and vendors to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences aligned to business objectives.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Support multiple programs; lead defined project components and smaller events with manager & team guidance as needed
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, agencies, hotels, DMCs, and vendors to deliver against plan
  • Contribute to event strategy and attendee experience
  • Manage logistics: registration, housing, F&B, A/V, room sets, timelines
  • Support budgets: track spend, identify efficiencies, assist with reconciliation
  • Participate in hotel and DMC RFPs; support sourcing and vendor selection
  • Manage contracts, tracking key terms, deadlines, and risk
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance planning efficiency, communications, and problem-solving
  • Prepare materials and support presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Lead portions of meetings; build confidence influencing partners
  • Execute onsite; ensure a seamless attendee experience
  • Escalate risks and support resolution
  • Apply best practices and strengthen internal and external partnerships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in corporate event management
  • Knowledgeable in areas of event strategy, 3rd party management, negotiations, and project management
  • Proactive, solution-oriented thinker who is accountable to completion of all tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated leader and team player with polished public speaking skills and relationship building skills
  • Experience with Cvent preferred
  • Must be able to travel up to 40% or as required

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
