Description

  • Guide the development of the system, technical and product standards based on business plans and long-term strategies, while working in an agile environment that has the creative energy of a start-up—and the full backing and comprehensive benefits of a Fortune 100 company.
  • Supervise architecture migrations or maintain critical relationships with vendors and business partners.
  • Exercise technical chops while coaching and collaborating with junior software engineers.
  • Work hand-in-hand with business partners to develop technical requirements and design robust and flexible product and system architectures.
  • Lead by example and promote a culture of continuous improvement by finding solutions that increase efficiency, accelerate the adoption of new technologies and enhance profitability.
  • Domestic travel required up to 10%.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a Solutions Architect-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated understanding of agile environments.
  • Utilizing contemporary frameworks and emerging technologies.
  • Practicing DevOps and SecOps.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into software solutions.
  • Negotiation, facilitation, consensus building and influencing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify patterns and problems across teams and deliver effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate architecture designs and technical approaches.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages and framework including Java, Spring Boot, Typescript, COBOL, and Python.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in database or data technology including DB2, Sybase, SQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, IDMC, ETL and AWS Glue.
  • Writing code, debugging, testing, and deploying cloud native (AWS) software applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AWS services for API, microservices, container services, and data solutions.
  • API development using NodeJS and TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing.
  • Experience with application observability tools including DataDog.
  • Architecture and integration with API exposing microservices or event-based solutions.
  • Domestic travel required up to 10%.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
