The Reinsurance Operations Team provides accurate and insightful financial, analytical and claims information. We support the internal and external core reinsurance programs by providing a foundation to establish and enhance strategic product offerings through traditional and alternative reinsurance solutions for our global customers. Additionally, the Reinsurance Team safeguards company assets through proactive identification and management of reinsurance recoverables, the second largest Liberty Mutual asset. This work is done in pockets of the organization globally, but most of it sits with Reinsurance Operations.
The Business Lead serves as the representative of the business on reinsurance related technology initiatives, including a new large complex multi-faceted, multi-year strategic program to transform post placement ceded reinsurance operations globally, production support, and other initiatives. As representative of the business, defines and drives agreement on target-state processes, and ensures solutions align with operational needs and deliver the intended value.
Drives and/or supports process improvement and other related projects, as well as key deliverables that go across many teams, such as Schedule F. Fosters the development of the team by setting objectives that challenge them while providing ongoing coaching.
Job Responsibilities - Strategic Initiative Support
Additional Responsibilities:
Strong understanding of reinsurance and post placement reinsurance operations is required; possesses an advanced understanding of reinsurance principles.
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in or with post placement reinsurance areas; preferably with experience with both financial and operational deliverables.
Prior experience with large reinsurance related technology initiatives is strongly preferred.
Liberty specific knowledge and experience is preferred.
Must demonstrate the ability to execute thoroughly in a fast-paced work environment, adapting quickly to changing conditions to achieve results.
Facilitates cross-functional collaboration and communicates effectively to a wide variety of audiences at all levels of the organization.
Comfortable leading meetings and making presentations to increasingly large audiences.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
