Description

Do you want to help propel Liberty Mutual to be the #3 Direct carrier that serves the mass market? We are looking for an Assistant Director (STP), Advanced Analytics to join the Direct Optimization team within Insights & Solutions to do just that. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for using data to identify & size actionable opportunities and partnering cross-functionally to prioritize, test, iterate, and implement optimizations that improve the user experience and drive incremental value for LM. Specifically, you will be focused on pushing forward omnichannel priorities and concepts, including bundling and online to offline assists. You will drive further insight by enhancing existing data and methodologies and completing complex analyses. You will then use those learnings to inform long-term strategic and short-term tactical roadmaps that will propel Direct to meet its goals.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct a range of complex analyses to proactively identify optimization opportunities, value those opportunities, and influence prioritization and trade-off decisions
  • Represent Direct I&S perspective and priorities by providing thought leadership in broader settings and influencing outcomes with stakeholder teams, including Experience, IT, Product, SPG, User Research, and the Data Office
  • Help shape long-term strategic and short-term tactical roadmaps that will enable the channel to meet its goals; ensure we are maintaining or enhancing key capabilities needed to win
  • Generate additional insights by further fleshing out current metrics, refining logic to improve accuracy, and leveraging newly available data products
  • Provide thought partnership and coaching to more junior analysts on the team
  • Partner with other teams within Direct Analytics & Enablement to monitor and understand drivers of KPI trends

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or any other quantitative field plus a minimum 5 years of applied business / non-academic experience preferred.
  • For non-Master s Degree candidates, Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 7 years of applied business/non-academic experience, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of developing and applying modeling to business problems. Deep knowledge of data sources, tools and business drivers.
  • Ability to apply more advanced analytical concepts to improve business outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, Snowflake, Emblem).
  • Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
