Lead Programs Counsel, North America
Liberty Mutual’s North America Legal Team seeks a highly motivated, collaborative attorney to serve as lead counsel for its North America Programs & Delegated Authority business. This is a programs- and delegated authority-focused (re)insurance role supporting Liberty Mutual’s continued growth in programs and other delegated authority arrangements across admitted and non-admitted / E&S markets.
Programs and delegated authority represent one of the fastest-growing areas of the insurance market and are a key strategic priority for Liberty Mutual over the next five years, with ambitious growth plans across North America. Legal will play a critical role in helping build an integrated North America Programs & Delegated Authority business that can scale responsibly across underwriting, distribution, claims, reinsurance, operations, compliance, and data. The attorney in this role will work closely with senior leaders across North America and Global Risk Solutions, as well as with teams in Programs, Underwriting, Distribution, Claims, Reinsurance, Operations, Compliance, and Data, to help structure, negotiate, and govern program business and related third-party relationships in a way that enables growth while appropriately managing legal and regulatory risk.
This role will focus on delegated authority and other program arrangements, TPA and related services agreements, reinsurance-supported program structures, and regulatory issues affecting programs business across admitted and E&S platforms. The role may also include limited support on related policy language and product matters as needed.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
