Liberty Mutual has an exciting Technical Assistant position available.

  • In this administrative role you will provide a variety of administrative tasks, technical support and customer service duties, such as gathering, organizing, validating and/or entering data.
  • Specifically, you will be responsible for creating and updating conditional payment cases with Medicare’s recovery contractor for the USRM Casualty claims’ organization.
  • You will respond to inquiries and information requests, and resolve routine problems in relation to Medicare compliance, or escalate them as necessary.
  • Gathers and organizes data needed by obtaining information from claim systems, files, Medicare’s portal, and/or by contacting people inside or outside the Company.
  • Reviews/verifies information which may include source documents, policies, claims files, etc.
  • Ensures completion and accuracy of data and task work within the Unit’s SLAs/quality standards.
  • Maintains records and data which includes entering data into SharePoint databases and may include tracking in other systems/spreadsheets, etc.
  • Ensures accuracy of information and runs reports as needed.
  • Acts as a technical resource for internal and external customers/contacts by providing answers to routine inquiries and coordinating responses; resolving problems and/or discrepancies which may involve research and data collection.
  • Provides administrative support to claims staff which may include creating documents, forms, spreadsheets, and presentation material; reviewing incoming mail and determining next course of action, documenting claim files; preparing and sending out form letters.
  • Participates in improvement initiatives and/or projects that improve the team’s ability to deliver service efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of related administrative office work experience.
  • Ability to communicate well by listening actively and sharing clear and appropriately detailed information with those who need it.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize work to ensure that work is completed within specified time and quality parameters.
  • Ability to deliver quality customer service using standard practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and Word. Must have current Claims Services experience.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
