SimCorp Dimension Configuration Engineer

As a configuration engineer at Liberty Mutual Investments, you will have the opportunity to participate in the full cycle of idea generation, solution formulation, and solution implementation, seeing the impact of your work in improving efficiency, transparency, and accuracy across the many organizations within LMI that use the financial accounting and reporting information generated by SimCorp Dimension. 

  • A minimum of 5 years of SimCorp Dimension experience in a role focused on continually enhancing and improving its use as an IBOR and ABOR
  • Proven understanding of key financial accounting concepts to configure effective solutions in SimCorp
  • Ability to continuously build investment finance knowledge and consult on complex technical problems to recommend solutions (e.g., undertaking a gap analysis, interface and reporting assessments, and data mapping/conversion)
  • Strong working knowledge of the GAAP accounting framework, with Insurance Statutory accounting experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of configuring core SimCorp functionality, including, but not limited to Trade Manager, Filter Toolbox (DEX / DFS), Corporate Action Manager, Reconciliation Manager, Finance Schemes, Portfolio Figures and the Investment Management Warehouse (IMW)
  • Skilled in applying configuration best practices within SimCorp, emphasizing standardization over customization
  • Proven understanding of processing trades and lifecycle events for a wide range of public and private asset types
  • Collaborates with data and software engineering teams to provide domain and product expertise for upstream and downstream solution development
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for both analysis and development
  • Partner with the Product Owner and our agile ways of working to support backlog refinement, story writing, testing approach and documentation, and acceptance criteria definition using JIRA

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred
  • Generally, 5-8+ years of professional experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of SimCorp Dimension experience in a role focused on continually enhancing and improving its use as an IBOR and ABOR
  • Proven understanding of key financial accounting concepts to configure effective solutions in SimCorp

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
