Description

This position is primarily remote. Candidates who live within 50 miles of Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Indianapolis, IN; Columbus, OH; or Plano, TX will follow a hybrid schedule, coming into the office two days per week.

 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Instructional Design Specialist to join the Distribution Design team and play a pivotal role in designing innovative learning solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. This role requires a collaborative partner who is passionate about aligning learning initiatives with organizational goals through in-depth needs analysis and partnership with subject matter experts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates new sales training programs, ensuring training is focused on increasing the capability of sales employees to perform in their job.
  • Applies knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory to design course content.
  • Uses learning technology to design and implement versatile, engaging, and learner-centered solutions for traditional classroom, online, or a blend of approaches.
  • Integrates Generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, into the design process to gain efficiencies in content creation; actively contributes to the development and implementation of Generative AI strategy, including creating roadmaps and use cases.
  • Researches, selects, and modifies existing training curriculum, learning objects, reference materials, and supplemental resources to meet learning needs.
  • Builds and maintains trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organization. Proactively engages partners to understand their needs and drives continuous improvement in learning initiatives.
  • Reviews program evaluations, test results, and participant and manager feedback on training effectiveness to make recommendations for program improvement.
  • Designs evaluation strategies and tools to determine whether desired learning and performance outcomes are achieved.
  • Identifies needs for outside resources, and sources vendors, as appropriate. Handles vendor management, to include coordination of resources and ensuring quality of product and service levels delivered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, in addition to 7+ years of training design experience, to include leading training program design efforts
  • Master's degree in Instructional Design or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience includes working with complex content and designing training for multiple delivery modalities (traditional classroom, online classroom, and self-paced e-Learning modules)
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates excellent project management skills
  • Broad knowledge of instructional technologies, is thoroughly proficient in the advanced use of e-Learning tools, and can augment regular functionality with some custom programming

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
