Description

We’re hiring a Senior Scrum Master to help deliver several flagship initiatives and support our high-performance engineering culture. In this role, you will be a servant leader who elevates team performance and Agile maturity while building trust, transparency, and high collaboration across product, engineering, and business stakeholders.

 

Key focus is using data, insights, and modern AI-enabled tooling to drive continuous improvement—tracking delivery health and performance KPIs, translating insights into actions, and helping teams continuously improve how they deliver value to our customers.

 

Responsibilities
  • Guide our agile delivery model and practices to optimize outcomes across program or value stream
  • Drive program & portfolio level, data-driven continuous improvement through focused qualitative and quantitative retrospection leveraging
  • Champion the use of AI-driven tooling for better insights, efficiency and experience
  • Pinpoints opportunities to drive high performing engineering practices to deliver better outcomes.
  • Ensures proper transparency and visibility into dependencies and risks
  • Acts as coach, mentor and trusted advisor for leaders, team members and partners to improve both their own and other’s knowledge and skills; Shares best practices across the organization
  • Develops & delivers training on a variety of Lean-Agile frameworks/scaling methods
  • Acts as a go-to person to facilitate events, ceremonies and discussions
  • Surfaces & works with key stakeholders to address anti-patterns that impede organizational agility
  • Creates & contributes to Agile communities to support continuous learning & foster a Lean-Agile mindset at Liberty Mutual

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, humanities, etc 
  • Minimum of 6 years of IT and program management and experience working in an Agile team, including coaching on Lean-Agile approaches; Minimum of 8 years in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Knowledge/training equivalent to at least one advanced certification from a reputable Lean/agile organization preferred, not required (SPS, SAFe SPC, SAFe SM, IC Agile Professional Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF), IC Agile Professional Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC))
  • Requires excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, and business judgement
  • In-depth knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives
  • Ability to effectively apply scaling frameworks and methodologies

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
