Description

  • Under general direction, act as a technical expert who consults on highly complex projects.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve technical problems.
  • Responsible for system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Lead and direct the work of team members.
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Develop component design.
  • Develop system/application architecture.
  • Develop maintainable/scalable, effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards.
  • Conduct unit test case development.
  • Develop highly complex test scripts.
  • Identify and implements appropriate continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute technical alternatives.
  • Domestic travel required up to 10%.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering Management or related field and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or in a Principal Software Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies and new architectural concepts and principles.
  • Knowledgeable in software engineering languages and tools and demonstrated proficiency in new and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of layered solutions and designs.
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of shared software concepts and product features, as well as security minded.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of business operations, objectives and strategies.
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of global business and technology trends and the financial services industry.
  • Negotiation, consensus building and influencing skills.
    Demonstrated facilitation and adaptability to respond to change quickly.
  • Effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Domestic travel required up to 10%.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 100%
