Description

We are looking for a results-driven experienced insurance contract and forms leader specializing in property policy language drafting, forms compliance,  process improvement and team leadership. The role will combine property product and forms subject matter expertise with leadership, coaching, and strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams implementing large  scale multi-state forms and contract roll outs. They will be adept at navigating complex regulatory environments and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and direct reports.

  • Manage a team of contract analysts by providing technical and analytical assistance to direct reports
  • Utilize personal lines insurance product and policy/contract knowledge to develop analysts and shape team process and strategy.
  • Assists in the development of product strategies and new contract concepts.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and establish best practices for the team.
  • Conducts high complexity forms and policy language analysis under minimal direction and develops direct reports in contract analysis and development.
  • Conduct quality reviews and verify quality of team members and their work output.
  • May conduct competitive intelligence and understands market trends for product line.
  • Manage more complex report/dashboard development that enables key insight into the overall business and/or unit quality and output.
  • Hires, develops, provides coaching to, and makes compensation recommendations for team members. Defines individual performance objectives and development plans, and ensures alignment with department, function, and SBU objectives.  
  • Fosters an environment in which continuous improvement methodologies are applied to deliver value to customers.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, software applications and business drivers.
  • Advanced knowledge of business operations, policies, procedures, and priorities, to include a strong understanding of the function's value chain and market conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise influence, engage employees; communicate effectively; promote collaboration, team work and change initiatives; and build value for customers through a service orientation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Displays solid business acumen and integrated thinking.
  • Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience to include business analysis work and prior experience working in an effective leadership capacity.
