Seated within Property & Specialty, and aligned to the USRM Product organization, the Program Monitoring team is a high-visibility and growing team looking for a Senior Analyst. This unique role offers the opportunity to be a direct and key contributor to profit and growth goals and help shape current and future pricing programs. You will be responsible for defining key metrics, analyzing & visualizing new product results, identifying key trends, maintaining communication & relationships with stakeholders across the organization, and informing future product rollouts. As subject matter expert, your analysis and recommendations have a direct impact on business and are shared with P&S leadership.

 

In this role you can expect to:

  • Analyze high complexity business problems, including querying data with limited direction
  • Influence action based on results and recommendation
  • Identify trends and issues in assigned states or product line.
  • Become empowered to share opinions, independently own projects, and make the team better
  • Presents state reviews, other analyses and results of country wide initiatives to Product managers.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have an analytical aptitude with the ability to execute complex analysis, proactively identify trends, and make recommendations'
  • Have technical skills in data analysis and visualization tools such as data analysis software (ex. SAS or SQL), PowerBI, and Excel
  • Demonstrate a natural curiosity and independent problem solving
  • Intermediate knowledge of insurance products
  • Exhibit project management, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Be proactive, curious, autonomous and willing to influence others
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of data concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of data architectures, solutions and designs; extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies and objectives.
  • Highly developed negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or Insurance preferred; or equivalent experience
  • Approx 5 or more years related work experience
  • Knowledge of insurance principles and concepts required
  • Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills
  • Effective communication skills for writing reports/proposals and making presentations
  • Ability to work independently and lead others during projects
  • Knowledge of the business practices and processes
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and data base software
