Description

Are you a strong Customer Service/Financial Specialist with billing experience? Then consider a career with Liberty Mutual on our Safeco Billing Operations Billing Team!

 

In this role, you will provide customer service support to our internal CSRs that directly assist internal agents on billing matters. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will answer phone interactions and will be responsible for any additional tasks and reports to be completed daily. You will perform routine and advanced calculations, balancing, and provide educational responses to assist CSRs with answering escalated customer inquiries. You will also use problem-solving and independent judgment skills impacting billing decisions and activities.

 

Department Hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00am EST – 8:00pm EST, any applicant would need to be available to work all shifts within department hours.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating via telephone and in writing with key stakeholders regarding billing inquiries and service requests.
  • Handle inbound call interactions daily
  • Answer billing questions while researching and troubleshooting issues.
  • Educating stakeholders on billing practices and standard work.
  • Foster a team environment exercising the core capabilities to drive cohesiveness.  Actively listen to customer requests and inquiries.
  • Evaluate and make decisions regarding billing exceptions within department guidelines.
  • Manage and utilize time effectively, as well as assist others within the unit, to ensure department meets required service levels.
  • Monitor compliance and fraud with policy and procedures; identify trends in activities and outcomes.
  • Collect, compile, prepare, and analyze data from multiple financial systems, including external systems for payment information and other financial transactions.
  • Prepare and input financial transactions and data into Excel and other tools for various operating reports.
  • Perform special projects and additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; Associates degree in business or accounting preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relative work experience.
  • Strong math and communication skills as well as excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues and present information in a clear manner.
  • Strong knowledge of Safeco Billing Systems, with an appetite to learn other systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools.
