About the Role:

 

Auto Physical Damage (APD) Claims Analytics team within the USRM Insights & Solutions group is searching for a highly motivated analyst to join our ranks. In this role, you’ll harness your advanced technical skills to analyze data and provide actionable insights to our USRM Claims organization, directly influencing key business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills necessary to procure and manipulate data, critical thinking and analytical skills necessary to identify trends and draw conclusions from that data, and the communication/influencing skills necessary to bring those conclusions to life.  In this role, you will:

  • Conduct complex analyses to uncover operational insights for the APD claims organization.
  • Manage projects of varying complexity, offering technical and analytical evaluations to enhance APD claims operations.
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques to identify trends and develop solutions that improve loss outcomes.
  • Utilize and adapt predictive modeling tools, creating analytic tools that empower our APD OneTeam partners.
  • Synthesize data from diverse sources to answer complex questions concisely and accurately.
  • Manage and execute complex analytics projects with a focus on profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing key strategic decisions.

 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; 7 or more years is preferred. Advanced degrees in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields are a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of data sources, analytical tools, and business drivers.
  • Proven ability to apply advanced analytical concepts to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience building analytic tools for business team use.
  • Proficiency in Excel (including VBA, macros, and data visualization), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages such as SAS and Emblem.
  • Strong planning, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present data and guide business discussions.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
