Are you looking for an opportunity to join a fast-growing company that consistently outpaces the industry in year-over-year growth? Liberty Mutual has an exciting opening for an Analyst within our Global Transaction Solutions division!

 

In this role, and under direct supervision, you will assist in writing profitable business by learning and applying risk evaluation and analysis techniques. You’ll gain experience in the M&A space by assisting on underwriting for transactions, preparing terms, and interacting effectively with brokers, insureds, and internal departments.

 

This is a hybrid position. If you live within 50 miles of our office in New York, NY you’ll be expected to report onsite twice per week. Please note that this policy may evolve based on business needs.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Assists underwriters on underwriting for transactions in the M&A space including reviewing materials, engaging in correspondence with brokers and external counsel, and assisting in drafting policies.
  • Learns and applies knowledge to evaluate and analyze transactions in order to recommend coverage, policy terms, and conditions to obtain quality, profitable business.
  • Learns to effectively communicate proposed pricing, coverages, and rating plans to brokers.
  • Learns to effectively interact with marketing, loss prevention, and other internal units to deliver top-level customer service.
  • Begins to develop a strong knowledge of insurance products and services, the North American marketplace, desired customers (Fortune 500 companies), and competitor landscape.
  • Gains underwriting and production expertise through internal and external training programs. Begins to monitor industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes to ensure continued delivery of superior insurance coverage to the target market.
  • Performs related duties and special projects to support the success of the product line unit.
