As the Principal Data Solutions Analyst aligned to the USRM Data Governance portfolio, you will partner closely with product owners, data engineering and business stakeholders to take prototypes from concept to production, right-fitting for supportability, quality, and observability to manage total cost of ownership. You will provide analytical guidance and build dashboards for strategic programs while delivering scalable, self-service data products for usage statistics, observability, and compliance. You will also manage quarterly security audits and govern access control for human and non-human identities, upholding metadata, lineage, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio leadership: Serve as the lead analyst for the USRM Data Governance portfolio; act as a senior technical resource and mentor to the team.
  • Prototype-to-production: Partner with product owners, data engineering and business stakeholders to assess prototype shelf life, prioritize hardening, and scale solutions for right-fitted supportability, quality, and observability.
  • Program enablement: Provide analytical guidance, insights, and dashboards in support of strategic program implementation and ongoing operations.
  • Self-service data products: Build, maintain, and scale data solutions and self-service reporting (e.g., self-serve information pages, usage statistics, observability, compliance).
  • Audit and compliance: Manage quarterly security audits; ensure solutions meet data quality, metadata, lineage, and compliance requirements.
  • Access governance: Triage and approve access requests for human and non-human identities; uphold data security and access policy standards.
  • Metrics and observability: Define business-impactful metrics and ensure visibility into platform and product health, usage, and compliance.
  • Agile delivery and partnership: Work with stakeholders to prioritize based on customer value; collaborate with the product teams to productionize and support solutions long term.
  • Technical leadership: Design and maintain high-complexity data solutions; conduct proof-of-concepts, iterative testing, and viability assessments.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Bachelor`s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred
  • Master`s in same or related disciplines strongly preferred
  • 5-7 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including, but not limited to, working in NoSQL implementation, ETL, Java, scripting languages (Python)
  • 5-7 years experience as developer with top quadrant Business Intelligence tools

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
