Description

Under moderate supervision, this position supports multiple Underwriting profit centers and business partners in the Major and Middle Market account space. Using standard operating procedures, reference tools, and various source documents, the responsibilities of this role may include gathering source information and creating policy writing instructions for commercial lines accounts for various products, including but not limited to, workers compensation, general liability, property, umbrella/excess liability and auto. Additionally, the role will act as a liaison between Underwriting and business partners, provide support and guidance to production teams, adhere to compliance guidelines and attestation controls, and streamline processes to eliminate waste and promote straight-through processing.

This is a remote position. Candidates within 50 miles of a GRS office are required to report onsite twice a week. Please note this policy is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

Using various commercial lines systems and tools, standard operating procedures, and instructions from stakeholders, the responsibilities of this role may include:

  • Gather source information and create policy writing instructions for the production teams.
  • Maintain documentation in support of compliance and attestation controls.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
  • Apply, interpret, validate, and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and participate in root cause problem solving exercises.
  • Participate in team huddles, share knowledge, and adhere to our company norms and principles.
  • Engage in self-development.
  • Provide guidance and training for team members and business partners.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience plus 1 to 2 years of insurance industry experience required
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Ability to follow and refine detailed processing instructions
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and processing systems
  • Solid customer service skills
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
