Description

We are seeking an independent contributor Director to own prioritization across the Personal Lines Property & Specialty Product portfolio. You will work cross-functionally to drive rigor in what gets done when - and why - ensuring transparent, data-informed decisions that maximize customer and business outcomes. In a fast-paced, highly visible environment, you will bring order, clarity, and momentum to a complex set of pricing and non-pricing initiatives.

You must combine strong communication and project management skills with a razor-sharp prioritization mindset. You’ll create standardized, objective views of the portfolio, explain trade-offs clearly, and recommend a decisive path forward. You’ll align diverse stakeholders and keep the organization focused on the highest-impact work. This is a high visibility role within the Property & Specialty Product organization, with frequent leadership presentations.

What We Offer:

  • A chance to contribute to resource management and capacity planning at scale.
  • Direct, measurable impact on portfolio outcomes and business performance.
  • Daily collaboration with many cross-departmental partners.
  • High visibility to senior leaders and opportunities to influence strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead prioritization for the Property & Specialty portfolio, enabling transparent, objective decision-making.
  • Partner with US Data Science, Product, Risk Analytics, Technology, and Experience teams to identify and prioritize both standalone pricing enhancements and non-pricing opportunities.
  • Recommend clear, actionable paths forward with explicit rationale, trade-offs, and sequencing.
  • Build and maintain standardized frameworks, scorecards, and dashboards that drive portfolio transparency and alignment.
  • Facilitate capacity and dependency discussions, communicate decisions and changes, and ensure alignment on portfolio goals across cross-functional teams and senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field. Masters, PhD, or equivalent helpful given quantitative work they are leading.
  • Minimum of 7, typically 10 years or more relevant work experience.
  • Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
  • Must have exceptional planning, analytical, decision-making, communication, and project management skills.
  • Expert knowledge of data sources, tools, and the business (lines, systems, pricing plans), predictive modeling, and code (e.g., SQL).
  • Industry knowledge developed from internal meetings, news alerts, project-specific work, and proactive research into competitor strategies.
