Description

 

As a Lead Financial Analyst on the Global Surety Finance Reporting & Analysis team, you will be a trusted business partner delivering reliable financial reporting and deep analysis across all Surety products spanning the US, Canadian, Latin American, Asian Pacific, and European markets. You will support senior executives and business leaders with strategic decision-making through executive-level presentations, financial models, and project management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The role requires strong communication and influencing skills to collaborate across all levels of the organization and to help build out our analytical capabilities. You will work closely with your manager and the Global Surety Finance Officer and lead cross-functional initiatives that drive continuous improvement.

 

*This position may be filled as Financial Analyst or a Lead Financial Analyst. Candidates will be considered at the appropriate grade level depending on experience and qualifications*

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop ad hoc and ongoing financial models that assist the business in decision-making, effectively communicating trends and outcomes
  • Create complex management reports and supporting analyses that explain financial results, investigating discrepancies and identifying business drivers and trends Lead complex departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Continually assess the business value and efficiency of team deliverables, propose improvements, and coordinate implementation with team members and stakeholders
  • May review and provide feedback on analyses and reports developed by other team members
  • Promote a culture of team development by proactively sharing expertise through training and mentoring; providing feedback on performance as appropriate
  • Oversee financial reporting systems, coordinate enhancements as business needs change, and assist in resolving production issues

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree (Finance or Accounting) required.
  • CPA or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of finance experience.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results.
  • Communicates well with own team and across organizational boundaries to ensure the successful completion of shared goals.
  • Comfortable leading meetings and able to communicate issues and trends to senior management and other groups at the appropriate level of detail.
  • Solid understanding of Finance Tools and Analytical Methods.
