The Alternative Credit Senior Counsel and Director is a newly created role and key legal advisor to Liberty Mutual Investments’ Alternative Markets platform supporting the Head of Alternative Credit. The Senior Counsel, Alternative Credit will leverage their demonstrated expertise in asset-backed financing across a wide variety of asset classes and structures.
Exposure to a broad spectrum of asset classes—including consumer, commercial, energy and infrastructure, fund finance and residential—is essential, as is the ability to navigate emerging areas such as FinTech-originated receivables.
Success in this position will be driven by a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset, a commitment to legal excellence, and the ability to build constructive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Counsel, Alternative Credit will play a critical role in enabling Liberty Mutual Investments to optimize deal execution, manage legal risks, and maintain best-in-class operational and legal standards across its growing alternative credit portfolio.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
