Are you passionate about leveraging data to drive strategic business decisions in the commercial property insurance space?

 

Our North America Actuarial & Analytics team is seeking a driven and highly motivated Senior Product Analyst to join our Underwriting Support and Portfolio Analytics team. In this role, you will deliver insightful portfolio analysis, own and enhance monthly reporting processes, and develop tools that directly support underwriting and pricing strategies. You will collaborate closely with underwriting, product, actuarial, and systems teams and play a key role in supporting commercial property profitability and growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in property data, systems, and processes.
  • Own and continuously improve monthly reporting and monitoring.
  • Support end-to-end pricing tool application projects?from development through successful implementation.
  • Gather, organize, and reconcile complex datasets required for monthly reporting and analyses.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance analytical tools that inform pricing decisions and portfolio management.
  • Conduct complex analyses to identify trends, anomalies, book mix insights, and performance drivers.
  • Make thoughtful recommendations to streamline processes and enhance monthly reporting output to better support business needs.
  • Present clear, actionable findings to business partners, managers, and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with the Underwriting, Finance, Product Management, and Actuarial teams to support portfolio monitoring and consult on business issues, as needed.
  • Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests and provide training and support to field teams and other business groups as needed.
  • Create and facilitate training materials and sessions to ensure effective use of pricing and reporting tools.
  • Work collaboratively within the pricing team to share knowledge, brainstorm solutions, and solve problems.
  • Conduct moderate to highly complex analysis under general direction.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work with complex data sets: gathering, manipulating, querying, consolidating, and testing for reasonability.
  • Proficiency in R and SQL programming for data analysis and tool development.
  • Familiarity with actuarial concepts.
  • Exceptional ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field. Minimum 3 years, typically 4 years or more of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Access).
  • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
