As a Risk Control Consultant, you will deliver comprehensive, virtual risk management solutions to an assigned portfolio of customers, helping them control losses and reduce costs. You’ll conduct virtual evaluations, analyze data, and develop tailored recommendations to improve safety and minimize risk. In addition to supporting clients, you may serve as a mentor and trainer to junior consultants, sharing your expertise and fostering professional growth within your team. Through your client relationships and industry knowledge, you’ll contribute to strengthening Liberty Mutual’s reputation as a leader in safety and risk control.

 

Please note: This position is eligible to be hired at different levels depending on experience.

  • Conducts virtual evaluations, evaluates data, and creates/implements service plans to control customer's source of risk, loss, and/or costs.
  • At the discretion of their manager, provides coaching, mentoring and training to enhance their development and effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with team in developing policies, procedures, tools, technical resources in order to support and enhance the delivery of loss prevention consulting.
  • Enhances Liberty Mutual's leadership position in the safety field and increases brand awareness by developing a network of contacts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework in safety, engineering, or related areas (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of directly related consulting experience in loss prevention or progressive safety/heath field.
  • Candidates are typically working towards (or obtained) an advanced degree and/or professional certification in one or more of the following areas: CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.
  • Advanced knowledge, skills and experience in a specialized field, service planning and delivery, risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management and progress measurement.
  • Fully effective interpersonal, writing and other communication skills required to develop and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and industry contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to retrieve and enter information using various proprietary software applications and create/modify documents and complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Office suite.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
