As an Associate Data Solutions Analyst, you will provide, build, and maintain prototype data solutions to meet the needs of the enterprise, helping ensure those solutions can be scaled appropriately. Under moderate supervision, you will work within specific limits and authority on assignments of limited technical complexity, possessing functional knowledge and skills reflective of a fully competent practitioner.

 

This is a hybrid position. Candidate residing within 50 miles of Liberty Mutual office is required to report in-office twice a week. Please note that this policy is subject to change.

 

This is a range posting from Job Grade 12 to Job Grade 13.

 

Proficiency with SAS, SQL, Power Query, Power BI, JCL, Jira, SAP, and FOCUS preferred 

 

Responsibilities

  • Under moderate supervision, develop data solutions of limited complexity to meet the needs of the organization and business customers.
  • Code proof-of-concepts utilizing a basic knowledge of multiple coding languages, leveraging reusable code modules.
  • Assist in the design and development of data solutions that enable effective self-service data consumption, and describe their value to the customer.
  • Apply a basic understanding of Agile techniques.
  • Set expectations for deliverables of limited complexity.
  • Assist in the maintenance of proof-of-concepts and prototype data solutions, and participate in assessing their viability and scalability in partnership with IT.
  • Work with IT to assist in building robust systems focused on long-term, ongoing maintenance and support.
  • Ensure data solutions include deliverables required to achieve high-quality data.
  • Apply a basic understanding of Business Intelligence tools, including visualization and user experience techniques.
  • Apply a basic knowledge of the principles of metadata, lineage, business definitions, compliance, and data security to project work.
  • Demonstrate a limited ability to grasp new technologies as needed to progress initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with SAS, SQL, Power Query, Power BI, JCL, Jira, SAP, and FOCUS preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred
  • Master`s in same or related disciplines preferred
  • 1–2 years’ experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments
