We are seeking a Technical Consultant to join our customer dedicated team, providing risk control consulting services to a leading national home improvement retailer. In this role, you will work closely with the client's Operations Management and Health & Safety teams to identify, quantify, and reduce or eliminate risk. The right candidate for this role will bring strong relationship-building skills, service management skills, acute customer focus, and a passion for quality execution, as well as the requisite technical skills and experience. Due to the dedicated aspect of the account, it requires visits to customer locations most weeks.

 

This is a work-from-home position based in either the greater Chicago or Atlanta area, where the client has a significant presence. While the role does require regular travel to client sites, many site visits will be within the local metropolitan areas. The position will oversee locations across both the client’s Northern and Southern regions, with a focus on priority locations in those areas. Some overnight travel will be necessary to support client locations outside the immediate metropolitan areas.

 

Position requires regular travel- Approximately 50%

Responsibilities:

  • Account Service: Work with client leadership teams to provide comprehensive, highly sophisticated consulting services to assist in meeting customer key performance indicators. This includes a deep understanding of customer operations and industry exposures in order to develop strategies to mitigate loss.
  • Leadership: Collaborate, involve, influence, and inspire those around you to meet a common goal. This includes mentoring and coaching, sharing information, project ownership, and promoting best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply continuous improvement tools for ongoing improvement of work product and service delivery in a collaborative environment.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to form and sustain relationships at all levels of the customer organization and become a trusted influencer in order to promote lasting risk control solutions.
  • Planning: Builds evaluations, assesses data, and creates/implements service plans to control sources of risk, loss, and costs for the client organization.
  • Brand Awareness: Enhances Liberty Mutual’s leadership position in the safety field and increases brand awareness by developing a network of contacts.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge, skills and experience in a specialized field, service planning and delivery, risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management and progress measurement.
  • Fully effective interpersonal, writing and other communication skills required to develop and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and industry contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to retrieve and enter information using various proprietary software applications and create/modify documents and complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Office suite.
  • The knowledge, skills and other capabilities required are typically acquired through a bachelor's degree with coursework in math, engineering or related areas (or equivalent) and at least 8 years of directly related consulting experience in risk control or progressive safety/heath field.
  • Candidates are typically working towards (or obtained) an advanced degree and/or professional certification in one or more of the following areas: CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.
  • Position requires regular travel.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
