About the Role:
USRM Claims Technology is seeking an innovative Solutions Engineer to join our vibrant Claims Experience team. In this pivotal role, you'll help design and build cutting-edge, reusable products that elevate the customer journey. Collaborating with forward-thinking teams and working with a modern tech stack guided by a strategic roadmap, you’ll shape solutions that anticipate future needs. You'll have the chance to drive meaningful projects, create impactful proofs of concept (POCs), and directly influence the evolution of our engineering capabilities.

Experience
· 10 years of related software engineering experience.
· Comprehensive understanding of agile environments.
· Extensive knowledge of contemporary frameworks and emerging technologies.
· Strong background in business operations and strategies, including global business knowledge, technology trends, and the financial services industry.
Skills
· Experience developing or architecting cloud-hosted, responsive web and mobile applications using technologies such as React, TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift (iOS), Apollo GraphQL, Nodejs, HTML5, and CSS3.
· High-level proficiency with client-side JavaScript frameworks, server-side frameworks, and NoSQL databases.
· Strong negotiation, facilitation, consensus-building, and influencing skills.
· Ability to identify patterns and problems across teams and deliver effective solutions.
· Openness and adaptability to respond to fast-moving circumstances.
· A design-thinking and test-driven development mindset.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills and a collaborative team orientation.
· Strong background in code review.
· Familiarity with event-based System of Engagement architectures and integration with API-exposing microservices.
· Functional testing experience, ensuring that applications meet specified requirements and perform as intended.
· Deep understanding of layered solutions and system designs.
Education
· A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
