Description

Liberty Mutual's in-house Media team is seeking a versatile and data-driven Media Buying & Analytics Specialist to join our dynamic group. With team expansion, there are currently multiple roles available with ownership of specific tactics —including Direct Mail & Email, Paid Search, Aggregators. Roles will focus on driving media strategy, execution, and performance optimization through robust analytics and data driven decision making.

You will be a key contributor to the end-to-end media buying process: from campaign planning and budgeting to daily performance management, to partner relationships, to deeper analytical insights that drive strategic decisions. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating a fast-paced, consistently evolving media landscape with complex and nuanced data and can effectively communicate findings to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Media Campaign Management & Optimization
Lead and manage campaign performance across owned tactic. Own daily/weekly/monthly tracking, budget management, bid/targeting strategy optimization, and ROI analysis to maximize acquisition efficiency and profitability.
  • Strategic Analytics & Insights
Leverage advanced analytics to evaluate campaign effectiveness, identify growth opportunities, and test approaches. Develop actionable insights and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making and incremental media spend optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Marketing, Modeling, Product, and Channel teams, as well as external vendors and media partners, to develop integrated media strategies that align with broader business goals. Manage and nurture external vendor relationships, including negotiation and performance reviews.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Seek out new media opportunities, tools, and methodologies to improve marketing efficiency and scale. Lead initiatives to automate reporting, streamline data processes, and build dashboards or visualization tools to empower decision makers.
  • Leadership & Mentorship
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members or rotational analysts. Help build a culture of data-driven decision-making within the media team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of relevant experience in media buying analytics or related roles.
  • Proven experience managing multiple media tactics including at least some exposure to Direct Mail & Email, Paid Search (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising), or third-party Aggregator or affiliate channels.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; proficiency with data querying and analytics tools such as SAS, SQL, Excel, and visualization platforms like Power BI.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, optimize campaign performance, and communicate complex analytical insights clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with media metrics and performance KPIs such as CPA, conversion rates, ROI, and other acquisition-focused measurements.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills and experience collaborating cross-functionally with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Highly curious, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and ownership over work.
