As a member of this cross-functional group, you’ll collaborate with teams across Liberty Mutual to deliver analysis that unlocks insights and sparks new, better ways of working.

 

The Insights & Solutions team provides critical analysis through five functional groups within US Retail Markets:

  • Distribution, Marketing & Experience Insights & Solutions
  • Data Office
  • Claims & Service, Insights & Solutions
  • Knowledge & Development Solutions
  • Data Science

 

As the leader of the Direct Optimization Analytics team in USRM Insights & Solutions, you will optimize the profitable growth of the Direct channel by harnessing data-driven analytics, leveraging technology, and crafting and executing a clear roadmap of strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for leading a team that generates analytical insights, evaluates solutions, and drives strategic initiatives for a $4B channel. Additionally, you will be a trusted advisor to the Direct channel leadership team, and partner across Experience, Technology, Data Science, Data Office, and more to align and execute on Direct channel priorities.

 

The successful candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and experience managing analytical projects.  They will also have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain their work to many levels of audience, including executives.

Responsibilities:     

  • Utilize data driven analytics to evaluate solutions, establish a roadmap of strategic initiatives, and monitor results  
  • Align with cross-functional partners on prioritization, trade-offs, and solutions, including acting as the business sponsor for Direct technology prioritization
  • Drive key channel priorities, such as segmentation, bundling, and lead routing strategies
  • Monitor and maintain digital channel health in partnership with Experience, Technology, and Direct Operational Analytics teams
  • Consult on operational and financial planning to incorporate growth levers and digital expertise

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field; PhD helpful given quantitative work overseen
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in an analytically driven environment
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills are required
  • Expert knowledge of data sources, tools, and business processes, including a sophisticated understanding of cross-functional operations and business drivers
  • Expert knowledge of advanced statistical techniques
  • Proven ability to influence other leaders across an organization

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
