This role has a hybrid work schedule (2 days onsite) and we are considering candidates based in Portsmouth, NH, Boston, MA, Plano, TX, Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH.

 

Job introduction:

 

The Distribution and Underwriting team within the Global Risk Solutions (GRS) organization is looking to hire an innovation Senior Full Stack Engineer. This team is focused on leveraging modern technology to deliver business value, increase our digital footprint, and reduce our total cost of ownership. The candidate will drive platform modernization of systems to help shape the future of our team’s capabilities and technical solutions with a focus on strong engineering practices. As industry changes quickly, we are looking for someone that can respond to change, learn new technologies with a growth mindset and adapt to changing requirements. The candidate  will also assist in maturing our agile development processes, enhancing technical quality, engineering excellence, and progressing CI/CD transformation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Full Stack Engineer experience.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in Typescript and Angular, Spring Boot, JavaScript (NodeJS, Angular), AWS cloud technologies, Micro-frontend and microservices architecture, and Rest API design. Bonus would be experience with Directus and other CMS applications.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices & Dev Ops Principles.
  • Hands-on involvement with layered systems architectures, designs, and shared software concepts.
  • Experience with containers like Docker, K8s, etc. and content management solutions is a plus.
  • Strong Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams with excellent negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills.
  • Strong adaptability and openness to navigate fast paced and evolving business environments.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills through evaluation of emerging business situations.
  • Proficiency in multiple object-oriented programming languages and tools.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members, alongside the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of the Surety Domain is a plus.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions aross the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
