Description

As a Solutions Engineer within the USRM Global Tech Enablement team, you will serve as a technical leader with a focus on end user technologies, security, networking, and resiliency in support of key USRM market initiatives as well as global mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. In collaboration with USRM, Global Digital Services, and Global Cyber Security teams, you will drive the adoption of technology standards and solutions by leveraging deep technical expertise, developing automations, and delivering data-driven insights. You will set technical direction and provide thought leadership to teams, promoting innovative solutions that adhere to organizational standards and stability goals. Through close partnership with market teams, you will develop and implement solutions that align with both business objectives and technology goals.

 

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and peer engineers to iteratively create technical solutions which align business and technical requirements

· Establish best practices and creates blueprints to guide technical teams

· Develop automations and data insights to support solution delivery

· Partner with external organizations to enable secure and efficient migrations for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures

· Contribute to scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions which address current and future needs

· Serve as a mentor to new and peer engineers

· Research emerging technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team

· Focus on performant, scalable solutions in alignment with LM standards

· Participates in squad/team demos, retrospectives, and all other ceremonies

· Communicate complex ideas, issues, and architectural designs effectively to varied audiences, informing decision-making

Qualifications

Experience

· Ten years of related software and infrastructure engineering experience

· Extensive knowledge of contemporary frameworks and emerging technologies

· A history of practicing DevOps and SecOps

· A comprehensive understanding of agile environments

· A strong background in business operations and strategies, including knowledge of global business, technology trends and the financial services industry

 

Skills

· Technical experience across the following areas strongly preferred:

  • Scripting (PowerShell/Python)
  • Microsoft Graph API
  • Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Identity and Access Management (Active Directory, Entra ID)
  • Perimeter Security
  • Networking
  • Power BI & Data Reporting and Analysis

· Solid negotiation, facilitation, consensus building and influencing capabilities

· Ability to identify patterns and problems across teams and deliver effective solutions

· Openness and adaptability to respond to fast-moving circumstances

· A design thinking and test-driven development mindset

· Excellent oral and written communication skills, and an aptitude for working in teams

· Deep understanding of layered solutions and designs

· Cognizance of security concerns, from access control and authentication to secured SDLC processes

 

Education

· A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
