The Efficient Growth team within USRM Data Science (USDS) is focused on understanding the economics of lead sources, distribution channels and products to drive optimal business decisions. In this role, you will be on a small but critical team responsible for developing lifetime value models and datasets for key marketing analysis. This role will lead advance analysis into inputs, assumptions, and trends influencing the predicted value of insurance products.  You will also apply lifetime value concepts

and methodology to solve problems, such as optimizing growth strategy.  This role will be critical in our lifetime value modeling, including data sourcing, model sophistication and operationalizing recommendations with cross-functional stakeholders.

 

This role will require strong technical and analytical skills, the ability to collaborate across various groups within USRM, and ideally have background in key insurance metrics and their drivers. With the org’s intense focus on profitable growth, this role presents the unique opportunity to be at the intersection of Risk Analytics, USDS, Distribution & Marketing, influencing growth decisions and supporting top org priorities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analyses and provide recommendations to optimize the effectiveness of U.S. Retail Markets marketing spend.
  • Improve efficiency of lifetime value processes, create new diagnostics including monitoring, and isolate drivers of changing customer value.
  • Advocate Efficient Growth decision framework and principles to ensure relevant and consistent measures are evaluated across the organization
  • Own stakeholder relationships and collaborate on cross-functional analytical projects across Insights & Solutions and USRM functions on Efficient Growth related decisions.
  • Lead weekly and bi-weekly meetings to share key trends across Product, Distribution, and Marketing teams to support cross-department alignment.
  • Drive forward lifetime value models which predict the total value of a customer, partnering across USRM using the latest org science and trends.
  • Manage both the identification and translation of emerging trends into actionable data to stakeholders across Marketing and Distribution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 3 years, typically 4 or more years of experience, or equivalent, is required.
  • Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
  • Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles and methodologies, and techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, SQL, Emblem).
  • Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills. Solid understanding of business to improve business outcomes.
