Solutions Engineer

• Responsible for guiding the development of system, technical and product standards based on business plans and long-term strategies, while working in an Agile environment.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Agile environments.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of contemporary frameworks and emerging technologies.
• Communicate complex layered systems clearly and visually.
• Position requires travel. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout U.S.
• Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Mechanical
Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Solutions Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires 5 years of experience in the following:

• Proficiency with server-side frameworks and technologies including Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Proficiency with Relational Databases and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with cloud-based providers and containerized solutions including AWS.
• Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes.
• Creating applications with a high degree of observability utilizing DataDog and Open Telemetry.
• Event-based architectures and integration with API first microservices.
• Working knowledge of cyber security concerns, from access control and authentication to secured SDLC processes.
• Familiarity with the ACORD data structures and experience modeling insurance transactions following ACORD conventions.
• Practicing DevOps and SecOps.
• Business operations and strategies, including knowledge of global business, technology trends and the Insurance Industry.
• Position requires travel. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout U.S. Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
