In this pivotal role, you will serve as a technical authority, consulting on complex projects and leading the analysis, development, and implementation of an advanced master data management solution to effectively manage customer data across our organization. As a key leader within our Agile squad, you will drive the evolution of our Master Party Domain, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to influence strategic direction, foster continuous team growth, and bring the customer vision to life.

In this role, you would:

 

  • Design and deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions from concept to execution within a dynamic, empowered Agile team.
  • Serve as a technical authority and consultant on complex projects, leading the analysis, development, and implementation of advanced master data management solutions.
  • Lead and collaborate within the Agile squad to develop and enhance the Master Party Domain
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to realize the customer vision, influence strategic direction, and promote continuous team growth.
  • Solve master customer data complexities specific to the insurance industry to improve customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Work in a highly collaborative environment that values both speed and quality.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to shape and drive the vision for services and capabilities.
  • Align business priorities with organizational and technical objectives to deliver impactful and empowering solutions.
  • Play a pivotal role in advancing Liberty Mutual’s technology and innovation in the insurance sector.

 

Responsibilities

 

Builds and designs a complex master data architecture that improve performance, scalability, governance, and quality of data. Makes recommendations for how to improve systems and data and drives those recommendations forward. Identifies business process improvements that address technology gaps. Builds in-depth knowledge of technology enablers. Consult on complex technology enabled recommendations to address gaps within business processes. Proactively identifies potential impact on business strategy. Documents existing processes, organizational structures, architectures and external systems. Consults on designing and developing of programs and tools to support the master data that drives customer experience across the organization. Supports the Solutions Engineer in implementation. Support can include but is not limited to; cutover plans, post-implementation support, any issues/defects, transition planning, and knowledge sharing efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred.
  • Generally 8+ years of professional experience
  • 5+ years of Master Data Management experience is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies
  • Proven experience designing solutions using cloud computing platforms & services (AWS, Lambda, Kubernetes)
  • Working knowledge of data solutions such as Postgres and Mongo Atlas.
  • Proven experience designing & building APIs (REST, SOAP, API Gateway, SpringBoot, etc.)
  • Experience in agile software delivery (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in software engineering tools such as GIT Hub and Jira.
  • Versed in diverse technologies and technical architecture principles and concepts. Extensive knowledge in layered systems architectures solutions and designs and shared software concepts.
  • Knowledge of Application Monitoring tools like DataDog
  • Strong consultative skills, including the ability to understand and apply customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of business operations, goals and strategies; in-depth understanding of global business and technology trends and the financial services industry
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
