Note: This role may have in-office requirements depending on the candidate's location. This is a ranged posting (Sr Analyst or Consultant), and the level offered will be determined based on the candidate's experience at the manager's discretion.

 

The US Retail Markets (USRM) Personal Lines Property and Specialty Product Design and Development team is hiring a Senior Analyst or Consultant.

 

This team designs property and specialty product enhancements and evolves our product strategy across all channels to drive profitable growth.

 

In this position you will concentrate on identifying opportunities to improve product feature performance through in-depth research and analysis, directly influencing our product design.

 

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and technical skills, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently to manage projects.

  • Experienced in Product and Project Management: Demonstrated experience in product and project management

  • Collaborative: Engaged in contributing to a dynamic and inclusive team culture both within our team and across partner teams
  • Effective Communicators: Able to clearly articulate insights and complex concepts, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:     

  • Develop subject matter expertise of property and specialty product features
  • Gather external research, inclusive of competitive intelligence and research obtained by partnering with market research teams and other functional areas
  • Conduct complex analyses under general direction; independently query data and conduct technical and analytical assessment of product features and key performance metrics; create tools and queries for team utilization
  • Synthesize research and analysis into insights and actionable recommendations that impact product design and strategy
  • With manager guidance, lead and project manage moderately complex projects, partnering with IT, Delivery, and other cross-functional areas to design and implement changes
  • Present insights and recommendations to Product leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Serve as a resource for less experienced analysts and may take on mentorship responsibilities for interns or rotational analysts, as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, typically 4 years.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, SQL, Snowflake, PowerBI).
  • Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
