The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. We are seeking a Senior Underwriting Manager to oversee our Major Accounts Property portfolio in the East Region. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of underwriters focused on complex monoline property accounts with a minimum Total Insured Value of at least $300 million. You will guide, mentor, and develop your team, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to succeed while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Your responsibilities will include analyzing and approving underwriting decisions for large single carrier admitted property accounts by evaluating property exposures, hazards, financial information, requested coverages, loss history, pricing targets, and desired program structures to determine appropriate terms and conditions. You will work closely with Risk Engineering to enhance underwriting processes and strategies, ensuring a profitable book of business, while cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with producers and customers to drive growth and retention.
Additionally, you will contribute to the development and execution of underwriting strategies that align with overall business objectives and market trends. To excel in this role, you will need to maintain the highest level of knowledge in the large property space. Sharing insights and best practices with your team and other stakeholders will be essential to sustain and elevate overall performance.
