The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

The Position

Reports to the Director of Product for Private Credit & Relationship Management within the Global Investment Solutions (GIS) function of LMI and is the outcome owner for the Relationship Management and DealCloud Product suite. The Product Owner translates business milestones, requirements into a product roadmap and owns the outcomes and value creation for both the business and technical workstreams. Partner with dedicated Scrum team(s) ensuring successful backlog creation and implementation of capabilities and feature sets critical for the investment lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop influential relationships with key stakeholders across LMI, with a particular focus on Relationship Management and Portfolio Strategy & Management (PS&M). Be the consultative partner, a trusted advisor, advocate, and primary point of contact for all things Relationship Management and DealCloud.
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise with DealCloud and related CRM ecosystems. Track record of implementation with evolving complexities and product capabilities for Relationship Management and DealCloud.
  • Exude entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated behavior of extreme ownership and self-driven execution, strategic thought leadership, connecting the dots for the Relationship Management and DealCloud ecosystem across stakeholders, product, data and technology. Being comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing conflicting priorities, facilitating challenging conversations.
  • Synthesizes business needs and platform strategy and capability to inform platform roadmap, prioritization with aligned Product Teams, influences roadmaps for aligned Products.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog and is accountable for its contents, prioritization, and acceptance criteria. Accountable for clear, actionable stories.
  • Participates in team demos, presentations, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc., and all other Agile framework ceremonies.
  • Sets priorities and actively participates in team planning. Sets expectations with stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.
  • Engagement with data office, championing data implementation and governance.
  • Participates in validation, testing and final approval of features prior to end user acceptance (UAT).
  • Monitors and maintains the product health, supporting long-term product viability and efficiency, and balancing long and short term and costs with desired outcomes.
  • Analyzes feasibility, risk, trade-offs, cost of delay ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product suite.
  • Own and manage the relationship with the DealCloud third party organization.
  • Lead due diligence and evaluation of potential implementation partners, third party vendors, in alignment with the Relationship Management vision and product strategy.

Qualifications

  • Subject matter expertise across the Deal life cycle for:
    • Investment Process & Pipeline Management
    • Relationship Management Dashboards, Tear sheets, etc.
    • Executive level analytics, reporting capabilities
  • 10+ years of experience in product management or ownership, with a proven track record in the financial services industry
  • Strong experience with Relationship Management and Private Markets products
  • Ability to set and drive a clear vision and strategy, with a focus on delivering significant user value and achieving business outcomes.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and reconcile diverse user needs and priorities.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Agile frameworks and methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, at a leadership level.
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
