Pay Philosophy

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

This role is focused on leading a team of engineering professionals responsible for the end-to-end support of Access Management and App Onboarding services within the Identity and Access Management department. The manager will collaborate with the aligned Product Owner, Scrum Master and Director to develop the overall strategy and ensure the team is clear on direction and specific work efforts. This role will also execute the People Leadership Commitments by setting clear goals and expectations, motivating and inspiring high performance and leveraging a diversity of perspectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate goals and measurements in alignment with a high-performance culture.
  • Effectively manage employee performance in accordance with individual, departmental and company objectives.
  • Work with peers and IAM director to develop team direction and strategy.
  • Provide technical and industry expertise to staff, partners and IT management
  • Contribute to the implementation and operationalization of IAM platforms
  • Manage the reporting, investigation and resolution of Identity-related incidents and requests.
  • Asses ticket queues and utilize metrics to identify trends and implement operational improvements.
  • Oversee aligned vendor relationships and vendor performance.
  • Manage third party contracts including offshore.
  • Collaborate with IAM Governance team and PO to respond compliance and audit findings.
  • Ensure resiliency of all services with updated AIA plans, effective monitoring and alerting and robust High Performance Engineering (HPC) development practices.
  • Contribute to the financial oversight of the IAM services.
  • May act as Project Sponsor for large initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership abilities with a minimum of five years of people-leadership experience (may include matrixed management experience) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and consensus building skills.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of Identity and Access Management experience and a broad understanding of Authentication and Authorization services.
  • Experience with Single Sign On (SSO) and Multifactor Authentication (MFA) services.
  • Experience with Sailpoint IGA and Entra ID a plus.
  • Experience with implementing and managing on-premises, cloud-based and SaaS solutions.
  • Broad understanding of cybersecurity practices and frameworks.
  • Cybersecurity certifications (CISM, CISSP,etc.) a plus.
  • Ability to navigate and thrive in a complex technical and organizational environment.
