The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

We are seeking a talented Analyst to assist in the rollout of our Claims Accident Assistance program. This new feature will empower our customers in their time of need by introducing a new capability that detects in real-time if a customer may have been in a crash, provides them tow/emergency services and support filing a claim.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct moderate to high complexity analysis and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders that inform profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction outcomes
  • Develop reporting tools and KPIs to provide insight into financial performance, initiative success, and other business intelligence.
  • Partner with colleagues to identify, quantify, and monitor operational process and technology driven improvements
  • Evaluate and analyze results relative to benchmarks; understand, explain, and communicate variances, and adapt solutions to reflect emerging insights
  • Manage aspects of moderate to complex projects and ad-hoc requests by independently partnering with cross-functional partners to enable success of operational goals
  • Collaborate with the Data Office and technology teams to define and document requirements for the integration of new data sources, ensuring alignment with organizational data governance standards and enhancing data accessibility for analytics initiatives.
  • Develop, update, and monitor reports and SAS queries that provide insights on key performance indicators and trends. Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards that provide data visualization and insights to stakeholders.
  • SQL required . 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 3 years, typically 4 or more years of experience, or equivalent, is required.
  • Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
  • Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles and methodologies, and techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, Emblem).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL. 
  • Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills. Solid understanding of business to improve business outcomes.
