The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Investment Operations Shared Services Team supporting the reconciliation function of invested assets. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of cash and position data across various investment platforms and custodians. The ideal candidate brings deep reconciliation experience, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies in a fast-paced, evolving investment environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of investment positions, transactions, and cash balances across internal systems and external custodians.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely and effective manner, collaborating with custodians and accounting teams as needed.
  • Lead process enhancements and automation initiatives to improve reconciliation efficiency, accuracy, and control.
  • Develop and maintain reconciliation reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with the broader Investment Operations teams to ensure data consistency and compliance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on reconciliation processes, advising on best practices and ensuring alignment with internal controls.
  • Support audit, regulatory, and ad hoc reporting needs related to reconciliations.
  • Mentor junior team members and support cross-training within the Shared Services team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in investment operations or financial services, with a focus on reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of various investment strategies and products; experience with Private Credit is required
  • Experience with SimCorp Dimension, Blackrock Aladdin, and S&P WSOWeb is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analytics tools (Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
