The Senior Risk Management Analyst position provides an
entry into the Risk Management Consulting department, which trains new hires in
the insurance industry, actuarial concepts, internal systems and department
tools & processes. The department provides exposure to other disciplines of
Liberty Mutual’s commercial lines business, including Distribution,
Underwriting, Actuarial, Marketing and Finance. Those that enter the Risk
Management Department have a career path to Consulting within the department or
can leverage the networking and exposure to other departments for other career

The Details
We’ll provide meaningful work that makes an impact on our
organization. The Senior Analyst
collaborates with consultants and account teams to support:

Customer needs

Broker relationships
�
Profitable new business & renewals
�
Conducts complex research and analysis, such
as loss analysis & benchmarking, as well as basic financial &
statistical analysis, to support efforts to optimize policyholders’ total cost
of risk. Based on analysis, contributes
to presentation of insights and recommended strategies.
�
Works within department framework to maximize
business unit competitiveness by understanding and leveraging industry issues
& challenges, competitor offerings, Liberty Mutual differentiators, and
customer/market needs.
�
Responds to the needs of customers and brokers
by working directly with those external stakeholders or as part of a team,
leveraging internal systems and analytical tools. Seeks to improve processes.
�
Supports department and/or business unit
projects that strive to improve the capabilities of the business unit, enhance
the information for senior executives, increase productivity of
field/department and investigate new ways to compete in the marketplace.
Qualifications:
�
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
�
Insurance industry experience not required.
�
Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to
understand new concepts
�
Effective communication skills for writing reports and making
presentations; ability to work independently; research/problem solving skills;
growth mindset
�
Ability to understand and successfully work on multiple projects
with strict completion deadlines and competing priorities
�
Enrollment in or successful completion of MBA program is desirable
but not required.
