The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

The Small Commercial Auto, Workers Comp and Umbrella Program Delivery team is looking for an analyst to fill a crucial, visible role on our team which focuses on managing and analyzing data to support the auto line of business. This role directly contributes to USRM SC profit and growth goals through helping shape current and future pricing programs and owning model implementation in state markets. This position is ideal for those looking to apply their analytical skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Associate will own and manage project designs, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and milestones are met through model implementation in auto.
  • They will analyze data and provide insights into progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration is essential, as they will work closely with team members and foster a cross collaborative environment and facilitate effective communication across multiple teams.
  • They will gain visibility as they engage with various stakeholders and organizational leaders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns with implementation.
  • Through highly collaborative projects, they will grow their own network and become empowered to share opinions, make the team better and own the project lifecycle.
  • Additionally, the Senior Associate will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of project activities, including but not limited to calibration data, rate pages, and filing materials.

Specific Skills Required:

  • Have strong technical aptitude with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and data analysis software (ex. SAS or SQL)
  • Intermediate knowledge of how insurance pricing works, experience in Product Delivery or Product Management are a plus
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions to improve processes and outcomes. 
  • Exhibit project management, organizational, process, analytical, cost-benefit, collaboration, decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Be proactive, autonomous and willing to influence others
  • Have a background in national or small commercial insurance products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics or other quantitative field.
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years relevant work experience required.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Access).
  • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
