The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

This role contributes to and supports quality and effectiveness of technical tools and work process within Enterprise Security & Business Continuity. The successful candidate will have experience and enjoy analyzing moderate to high complexity technical and business problems applying general to advanced knowledge of the insurance industry, business continuity and crisis management best practices, products, business processes, and cross-application data connections. This role is responsible for a variety of operational activities that include vendor support, reporting, tool administration, systems access, regulatory compliance and attestation activities, system updates including implementation of new releases, related communications, and user training. The individual in this role grows and becomes more effective through direct participation, consulting and relentless curiosity linked with Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and Crisis Management activities and concepts including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, response, and communications.

 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise on one or more resilience systems (e.g., Fusion Risk Management, Everbridge emergency communications), completing operational tasks, proactively identifying problems, demonstrating effective root-cause problem solving skills and integrating risk assessment on work that is of moderate complexity.
  • Manages moderate to high impact projects. Leads projects as well as implementation and evaluation of business process changes with moderate to high degree of complexity.
  • Routinely interacts with senior leadership within the department and across business units to assess risk, discuss mitigating controls and solutions from a risk management perspective.
  • Serves as an informal mentor on work process and supporting tools for members of the team and aligned stakeholders.
  • Oversees and maintains critical relationships with 1-3 vendors; internal IT resources and regularly interacts with team members, aligned subject matter experts, stakeholders, and leaders spanning the countries in which we operate to understand the global landscape and identify business processes/technology opportunities to review.
  • Performs moderately complex research by gathering data from a variety of sources. Analyzes information to identify trends, patterns, gaps, insights, and opportunities to improve how we use our technical tools, and where automation may add efficiency, effectiveness, and capacity.
  • High degree of relationship building and influencing ability with team members and leadership needed to be effective in role.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s Degree in related field plus up to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and assess potentially problematic situations, make practical and logical judgments, and bring issues to resolution
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, PowerBI, ServiceNow and strong Microsoft Excel skills are a plus
