The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

As the Regional Distribution Officer – Northeast, you will represent the brand within the assigned territory of the Northeast with oversight of full suite of product offerings within Global Risk Solutions (GRS) across the Majors, Middle Market, Specialty and Surety teams. In alignment with overall GRS strategy, develop regional strategy and plans that support profit center GWP, submission and retention targets. Foster strong relationships with brokers. Structure and lead cross sell initiatives that align with profit center growth plans and market opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive collaboration, accountability and engagement across the Northeast Region to build culture and lead as one GRS team.
  • Enhance existing relationships with the Client Executive Teams at Marsh, Aon, Willis, Gallagher, and Lockton while establishing Liberty as the preferred market of choice.
  • Develop formidable relationships with underwriting leadership with a specific focus on NYC, while fostering alignment and transparency across all go to market teams.
  • Partner with UW management to leverage existing network of talent while developing, retaining and soliciting personnel (Focus on: Middle Market, Risk Management and Financial Lines).
  • Direct our Specialty teams to market with consistency through a demonstrated understanding of product sets and placement models across the territory.
  • Manage the Branch Executive team in the Northeast with a continuous focus on new business execution, proactive engagement and relentless prioritization.
  • Represent GRS with an inclusive and innovative mindset while evolving the brand of Liberty Mutual in the region.

Qualifications

  • 15+ Years of relevant Insurance Industry experience
  • Underwriting experience
  • Strong relationships with senior leadership at key brokerages
  • Strong understanding of product offerings and relationships with profit center leadership
  • Business development/sales skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Interpersonal/social skills able to foster trusted relationships
  • People management skills
  • Able to nurture professional growth; fosters team effectiveness
  • Broker experience a plus
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Travel required
