The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

Location: Within 50 miles of the Boston, MA or Portsmouth, NH offices; requirement of 2 days in office.

 

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SEO Analyst to join our growing SEO team within Liberty Mutual’s marketing organization. This role is crucial in implementing strategic SEO initiatives to enhance our online presence and organic search rankings, with a strong focus on optimizing content for search visibility and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will possess an analytical mindset, a creative approach to problem-solving, and a proactive attitude in driving SEO performance through effective content and other SEO tactics. This position will operate under the guidance of and provide support to our SEO lead and work closely with content creators, developers, and UX designers to align websites and digital properties with SEO best practices.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including content creators, analysts, developers, and marketers, to implement SEO tactics that align with overarching business objectives.
  • Develop and/or maintain expertise in local SEO to support insurance agent and agency business initiatives.
  • Perform comprehensive keyword research to guide content creation and optimization strategies. Ensure that content is optimized for relevant keywords and search intent while maintaining brand voice.
  • Review weekly technical SEO audits to identify improvements in crawlability, indexation, and site speed; address crawl errors, redirects, and broken links; and work closely with development teams to implement solutions.
  • Produce and update content independently and/or with content creators to ensure alignment with SEO best practices; contribute to content calendar and content idea generation.
  • Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Generate regular reports on SEO performance, trends, and progress toward KPIs.
  • Assist in the creation of new automated reports and dashboards to provide ongoing visibility into SEO performance.
  • Engage in competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging SEO tools and techniques, with a particular focus on AI advancements. Maintain an open-minded approach to adopting new technologies.
  • Support ad-hoc SEO requests, including search volume analysis, seasonal trends, and other SEO-related asks.
  • Willingness to take on new SEO and content related tasks as the industry and our business needs evolve.

 

Preferred skills & experience

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Google Ads and other digital marketing channels is helpful. 
  • Ability to work within Agile frameworks and collaborate closely with developers.
  • Familiarity with analytics and data visualization tools like PowerBI, Looker Studio,Adobe Analytics, or Google Analytics 4.
  • 5-7 years of SEO experience; a strong understanding of current SEO best practices including local search, a plus.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz.
  • miliarity with analytics and data visualization tools like PowerBI, Looker Studio,Adobe Analytics, or Google Analytics 4.
  • Experience with vendor or contactor management.
  • Experience working at a large company or ad agency is helpful; financial or insurance industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree with a concentration in Marketing, Business Administration or Communications preferred or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience within a marketing driven organization
  • Requires advanced knowledge of marketing communications principles and practices
  • Experience working with and/or managing outside agencies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple priorities
  • Strong knowledge of relevant technologies
  • Strong organizational, coordination, project management, and analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skills required
  • Budget management and project management experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Proactively seeks to learn and apply new tactics and job skills to enhance current role and improve broader team`s performance
  • Demonstrates understanding of insurance industry, products, services, and trends
  • Actively seeks to expand and integrate marketing knowledge and skills into recommendations, as well as function responsibilities and the connection to the broader organization
