Description

**This role may have in-office requirements based on candidate location. This is a range posting. Level offered will be based on candidate experience at manager discretion.**

 

This analyst will support the Personal Lines Auto Product on the Underwriting Effectiveness Team. This role will be equal parts: ANALYSIS, PROJECT Management, and PRODUCT Management. This role will deliver quantifiable business value, proactively identify opportunities - identify solutions, and there will be plenty of opportunities to present.

 

  • Conducts moderate to high complexity analysis under general direction.
  • Sets up and runs advanced loss and demand models with limited support from experienced analysts.
  • Queries data to conduct ad hoc analysis of metrics.
  • Builds simple tools and queries for others to use.
  • Performs the underlying analysis on projects important to the SBU.
  • Provides recommendations on the appropriate tools and techniques to perform analysis.
  • Leads own workstreams on medium to long-term or moderate to high complexity projects.
  • May manage aspects of low to moderate complexity projects including members within and outside team.
  • Conducts competitive intelligence and understands market trends for a product line Monitors and interprets developments.
  • Serves as ad hoc resource for less experienced analysts. Occasionally mentors’ others as requested.
  • May, with limited supervision, conduct analysis to evaluate and implement vendor products. May interacts with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, typically 4 years.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, PowerBi).
  • Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
